Can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
I lead the supply chain business of XPO Logistics in the United Kingdom and Ireland as part of the company’s global logistics network. I previously managed the business unit responsible for providing consumer services to large retailers in the UK and Ireland, with a focus on e-commerce fulfilment, reverse solutions and integrated transportation. I joined XPO in 2014 and have now spent 24 years in the logistics industry in operational and business development functions. I hold a bachelor’s degree from Middlesex University.
What should we expect from your session?
The logistics industry in UK and Ireland is going through real change in consumer behaviour, expectations, and loyalty. At XPO we are able to see the impact this is having across their respective supply chains. I will explain how an effective business culture is essential in enabling technological solutions, and where technology is adding real value in logistics solutions.
What are you looking forward to at Robotics and Automation this year?
Apart from listening to some of the presentations by the guest speakers, exhibitions like this give me the chance to interact with robots and automation as well as getting a sense of the “user experience”, I will be making a bee line for any exhibitors that bring their products to life.
Why are events like Robotics and Automation important to the industry?
These events give professionals across the industry a chance to seek the latest technology that will resolve business challenges. They also ensure that logistics is always using the very best robotics and automation in the design of their customer supply chains.
